All of you have heard stories of those living in poverty who after they died, authorities found large sums of money under their mattress. They possessed the resources to live comfortably, but chose not to. Similar principles apply to spiritual resources.

Psalm 45 provides the reasons why and for what purpose you have authority as God’s son to use supernatural resources.

Origin of God’s Authority
Your heart listens to God’s word from Scripture enabling you to share His grace with others. The content includes God’s attributes (splendor, majesty, truth, meekness and righteousness) and His awesome revelation, which provides the foundation for victory over your enemies, which include the world, flesh and devil (Ps. 45:1-5).

Location of God’s Authority
God’s throne is the seat of honor and power for His righteous kingdom to come on earth. Because you are seated with Christ at His right hand, you have full power and authority to “put all things in subjection under His feet” when you pray in His name (Ps. 45:6-7; Eph. 1:19-22).

Application of God’s Authority
God desires to clothe you with the beauty of His holiness so you are filled with the fullness of His Spirit that surpasses all riches on earth (Ps. 45:8-9; Eph. 3:16-19).

Commitment to God’s Authority
You must sacrifice the natural ways of thinking and embrace the supernatural by making Christ Lord in your life (Ps. 45:10-12).

Results of God’s Authority
As people see God’s glory in you, they will be attracted to Christ and eventually become His disciples. Generations of new followers of Christ will arise because of your commitment to Him (Ps. 45:13-17).

Before Christ gave the Great Commission to His apostles to make disciples in all the nations, He said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and earth” (Matt. 28:18-20).

Visualize yourself seated at the right hand of God with all the authority and power of Christ. What difference does that make in your life? How will that impact others? What first step is God instructing you to do? Let Him guide you one step at a time.
