God magnifies Himself in whatever occurs. However, He desires that you participate with Him in accomplishing His kingdom purposes so your children would come to know Him. Otherwise, you risk having your heart hardened like Pharaoh. In contrast, your circumstances mirror the Lord’s prayer.

The Lord told Moses that He hardened Pharaoh and his servants’ hearts to perform His signs so you may tell your son and grandson how He mocked the Egyptians in knowing He is the Lord. Moses said to Pharaoh: “How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go that they may serve Me.” If he refused to let the people go, God would bring locusts to eat what the hail hadn’t destroyed. The servants said that since they were a snare and Egypt was destroyed, let the men go serve God. Pharaoh agreed and Moses said they would take their children and flocks to hold a feast to the Lord. Pharaoh said evil was in their mind but do according to their desire (Ex. 10:1-11). Signs reinforce biblical principles to help your children know God as Father.

Moses stretched out his staff over Egypt and the east wind brought locusts to darken the land so nothing green was left. Pharaoh said to forgive, make supplication and remove this death from him since he sinned against God and Moses.
After driving the locusts into the Red Sea, the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart and he did not let Israel go (Ex. 10:12-20). Signs either make people sanctify God or hardened their hearts so they can’t know Him.

Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky and there was thick darkness in Egypt for three days, but Israel had light in their dwellings. Moses told Pharaoh that he must let them have sacrifices and burnt offerings to the Lord. Until they arrived there, they wouldn’t know with what they would  serve the Lord. He hardened Pharaoh’s heart and was not willing to let them go. Pharaoh said to get away and not see his face again, otherwise Moses would die (Ex. 10:21-29). Priority task is discipling God’s people so they understand the rule of God’s kingdom and be transformed to do His will on earth.

The Lord said one more plague would let Pharaoh drive them out completely. God instructed Moses that each person ask his Egyptian neighbors for silver and gold. The Lord gave the people favor and Moses was greatly esteemed in sight of Pharaoh’s servants and people. The Lord said at midnight all the first-born would die so they would understand how He makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel (Ex. 11:1-8). Listen to what God says on how to meet financial needs in fulfilling your kingdom destiny.

Pharaoh didn’t listen to God, so His wonders would be multiplied in Egypt. Moses and Aaron performed these wonders before Pharaoh, yet the Lord hardened his heart so he wouldn’t let Israel go out of the land (Ex. 11:9-10). Nothing thwarts God’s purposes to magnify Himself.

Pray the Lord’s prayer that mirrors the first five requests in the above passage and sets up the last five:
1. Revive: “Our father who is in heaven”
2. Reveal: “sanctify Your name”
3. Rule: “May Your kingdom come”
4. Transform: “and may Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”
5. Provide: “Give us this day our daily bread”
6. Forgive: “Forgive us our sins”
7. Reconcile: “as we forgive those who sin against us”
8. Lead: “And lead us not into temptation”
9: Overcome: “but deliver us from evil”
10: Glorify: “for Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.”
