As sons of God inscribed with glory, honor and strength, we have the opportunity to humble ourselves by worshipping a mighty and great God (Ps. 29:1-2). Unless we come to Him in the majesty of holiness, we won't experience His power.
God’s first credential involves what He does in creation through His powerful voice: thunders, powerful, majestic, breaks the cedars, makes whole nation (Lebanon) skip like a calf, hews flames of fire, shakes the wilderness, makes deer to calve and strips the forests bare (Ps. 29:3-9b).
God’s second credential involves what He does to His people as glorious King: duration is forever, gives strength to His people and bless His people with peace or sense of well-being in all areas of life (Ps. 29:9c-11).
Which of God’s credentials enabling us to be a priest and king most speak to you? Lift that one up in worship to Him.
