The results of proclaiming God's truth for joyful fellowship include:
1. Walk like Jesus by loving God and others
2. Grow spiritually with forgiven sins, overcome evil one and know God so you don't love the world
3. Listen to the Holy Spirit's teaching ministry and prevent being led astray by lies
4. Fix your hope on Christ's coming to be purified from sin
5. Share material possessions with the needy to show love
6. Receive answered prayer by obeying His commands and pleasing Him through the Holy Spirit

Proclaim God's Truth for Joyful Fellowship

They proclaimed the Word of life that was from the beginning. They testified what was heard, seen and touched concerning eternal life. They wanted  others have the joy of fellowship with them and their Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. They declared that God was light without darkness. People lied by claiming to have fellowship with Him and not living by the truth. By walking in the light of God, they had fellowship with one another. The blood of Jesus, His Son, purified them from every sin. They deceived themselves and the truth was not in them by claiming to be without sin. If they confessed their sins, He was faithful and just to forgive their sins and purify them from all unrighteousness. They made Him a liar and His word had no place in their lives by claiming they had not sinned (1 John 1:1-10). Proclaim His truth for joyful fellowship with God and others.

Walk Like Jesus By Loving God and Others
John wrote these things so they would not sin. Jesus, the Righteous One and atoning sacrifice for their sins, was their advocate to the Father if they sinned. They knew Him and His love was made complete in them by obeying His commands. Those who walked as Jesus did knew they were in Him. If they claimed to be in the light and hated their brother, they were in darkness. Those who loved their brother lived in the light and nothing made them stumble. By hating their brother, they walked in darkness and were blind (1 John 2:1-11). Walk like Jesus by obeying His commands to love God and others.

Grow Spiritually with Forgiven Sins, Overcome Evil One and Know God
John wrote to his children because their sins were forgiven because of His name. He wrote to fathers because they knew Him who was from the beginning. He wrote to young men because they overcame the evil one. He wrote to his children because they knew the Father. He wrote to fathers because they knew Him who was from the beginning. He wrote to young men because they were strong, word of God lived in them and they overcame the evil one. Those who loved the world or anything in it did not have Father's love in them. The lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and boasting of what he had or did came not from the Father, but the world. The world and its desires passed away, but those who did God's will lived forever (1 John 2:12-17). Grow spiritually with forgiven sins, overcome evil one and know God so you don't love the world.

Listen to Holy Spirit's Teaching Ministry to Prevent Being Led Astray
Knowing that many antichrists went out from the church proved they were not true believers. The anointing from the Holy One enabled them to know the truth. The liar denied the Father, Son and that Jesus was the Christ. They remained in the Son and Father by making sure they remained in what they heard from the beginning. He promised eternal life. The anointing received from Him taught them all things to prevent being led astray (1 John 2:18-27). Listen to the Holy Spirit's teaching ministry to prevent being led astray by lies.

Fix Hope on Christ's Coming for Purification from Sin
Continuing in Christ allowed them to be confident without shame at His coming. The Father lavished His love to be called children of God. The world did not know them because it did not know Him. In the future when Christ appeared again, they would be like Him because they saw Him as He was. Even this hope purified everyone. Those who sinned broke the law. Christ who was without sin appeared to take away sin. People who saw, knew or lived in Him did not continue sinning being righteous like Him. Sinful folks were of the devil since they sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared to destroy the devil's work. Someone's new nature could not sin being born of God. Children of the devil sinned being unrighteousness and not loving their brothers (1 John 2:28-3:10). Fix your hope on Christ's coming to be purified from sin.

Share Material Possessions with Needy to Show Love
Cain belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother because his actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. The world hated true believers. Loving their brothers proved they passed from death to life. Those who hated their brothers were murderers without eternal life in Him. Laying down one's life for his brother followed Jesus' example who laid down his life for them. They showed love by sharing material possessions with their needy brother. Love meant actions and truth, not words or tongue (1 John 3:11-20). Share material possessions with the needy to show love.

Receive Answered Prayer Through Obedience
Those confident before God received anything they asked from Him because they obeyed His commands and did what pleased Him. They knew He lived in them by the Spirit He gave (1 John 3:21-24). Receive answered prayer by obeying His commands and pleasing Him through the Holy Spirit.

Answer the following questions that are results of proclaiming God's truth for joyful fellowship:
1. Are you walking like Jesus by loving God and others?
2. Are you growing spiritually by having your sins forgiven, evil one overcome and God known so you don't love the world?
3. Are you listening to the Holy Spirit's teaching ministry to prevent being led astray by lies?
4. Are you fixing your hope on Christ's coming to be purified from sin?
5. Are you sharing material possessions with the needy to show love?
6. Are you receiving answered prayer by obeying His commands and pleasing Him through the Holy Spirit?

Send Ambassadors Who Share God's Word (Insights in Prophets)

A key strategy in building the body of Christ is sending ambassador who share God's word internationally. Breaking the curse of sin through God's word enables people to walk in God's ways for spiritual influence. Trust God across national and denominational lines by networking ambassadors in prayerful unity. Then people can return to God by rebuilding the scattered church through His word and showing true justice and compassion to the needy.

Return to God to Rebuild Scattered Church

God spoke to Zechariah during the reign of Darius to not be like their forefathers who did not return to Him and away from their evil ways so He could return to them. The forefathers finally repented saying the Lord Almighty did what their ways and practices deserved. Three months later God spoke again to Zechariah in a vision where a man rode a red horse with red, brown and white horses behind him. The angel revealed that these were ones the Lord sent to go throughout the earth. The angel of the Lord asked how long He would withhold mercy from Jerusalem and Judah during 70 years of His anger. The angel said to proclaim that God was very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion, but angry with the nations that felt secure. He would return to Jerusalem with mercy, rebuild His house and stretch the measuring line so His towns would overflow with prosperity. He would again comfort and choose Jerusalem. The angel showed Zechariah four horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem. The Lord showed him four craftsmen to terrify and throw down these horns (Zech 1:1-21). Return to merciful God who rebuilds the scattered body of Christ according to His word.

Trust God Across National and Denominational Lines
He saw a man with a line to measure the dimensions of Jerusalem. Another angel said that Jerusalem would be a city without walls because of the great number of men and livestock. God would be wall of fire around it and its glory within. He punished those who touched His people considered as the apple of His eye. God lived among them and many nations joined with Him to become His people. All mankind were still before the Lord (Zech. 2:1-13). Trust God to work across national and denominational lines for His glory.

Walk in God's Ways for Spiritual Influence
He saw Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord and Satan at his right side accusing him. The Lord rebuked Satan because He chose Jerusalem. He asked if this man was a burning stick snatched from the fire. The angel said to those standing by Joshua to take off his filthy clothes. God said He took away his sin and put rich garments on him including a clean turban. God said if Joshua walked in His ways, then he would govern His house and have a place among those standing there. He engraved an inscription on one stone with seven eyes. He removed the sin of this land in a single day. In that day, each of them would invite his neighbor to sit under His vine and fig tree (Zech. 3:1-10). Walk in God's ways confessing your sins for spiritual influence in His kingdom.

Send Ambassadors Who Share God's Word
Zechariah saw a gold lampstand with a bowl on top with seven lights on it and two olive trees on both sides of the bowl. God's word to Zerubbabel answered, "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit." He said that Zerubbabel laid the foundation and completed the temple. Instead of despising the day of small things, men rejoiced when they saw the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. These seven were the eyes of the Lord that ranged through the earth. The two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that poured golden oil represented the two who were anointed to serve the Lord (Zech. 4:1-14). Send Spirit-empowered ambassadors who share God's word to build up the body of Christ worldwide.

Break Curse of Sin Through God's Word
Zechariah saw a flying scroll representing the breaking of the curse over the whole land, which removed every thief and those who swore falsely. Sending it to every home destroyed the curse of Satan's power. He saw a measuring basket representing the iniquity of everyone. A woman inside represented wickedness. He pushed her back in the basket and the lead cover down over its mouth. Two women with wind in their wings like a stork lifted the basket before heaven and earth, took the basket to Babylon and build a house for it (Zech. 5:1-11). Break the curse of sin through the authority of God's word in every home and city.

Network Ambassadors in Prayerful Unity
Zechariah saw four chariots with four colors of horses representing the four spirits of heaven standing in the presence of the Lord before the whole world. The chariot  with black horses went toward the north country, white horses to the west and multi-colored to the south, but straining to go throughout the earth. God said to take silver and gold from the exiles who arrived from Babylon and take it to Josiah who made a crown that was set on the head of Joshua the high priest. His name was Branch who branched out from this place and build the temple of God. He was clothed with majesty to sit and rule as a priest on his throne with harmony between the two. The crown was given to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah and Hen son of Zephaniah as a memorial in the temple. Those far away came and helped build the temple if they diligently obeyed the Lord (Zech. 6:1-15). Network ambassador in prayerful unity to build the body of Christ internationally.

Show True Justice and Compassion to Needy
Two years later God told Zechariah that the people of Bethel sent Sharezer, Regem-Melech and their men to entreat God by asking the priests and prophets whether they should mourn and fast in the fifth month like previously. Were they really fasting for God 70 years or just feasting for themselves when they ate or drank? God told Zechariah to administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another; not oppress the widow, fatherless, alien or poor; and not think evil of each other. They made their hearts as hard as flint and did not listen to God's word sent by the earlier prophets. He scattered them among all nations where they were strangers in the desolate land (Zech. 7:1-14). Show true justice, mercy and compassion to the needy.

To build the body of Christ internationally:
1. Send ambassadors who share God's word throughout the world
2. Break the curse of sin through God's word
3. Walk in God's ways for spiritual influence
4. Trust God across national and denominational lines
5. Network ambassadors in prayerful unity
6. Return to God by rebuilding the scattered church through His word
6. Show true justice and compassion to the needy

Serve Others by Seeking Their Spiritual Welfare (Insights in Prophets)

"A servant's job is to do all he can to make life better for others - to free them to be everything they can be. A servant's first interest is not in himself but others. Servanthood is a loving choice we make to minister to others" (Gayle Erwin).

You serve others by seeking their spiritual welfare through preparing for Christ's coming, humbling yourself before God, warning people to turn away from sin, practicing God's word, ministering with compassion to the needy, providing accurate and clear biblical teaching, and rescuing people from slavery to sin and false teaching.

Prepare for Christ's Coming Again

Ezekiel said the day of the Lord was near as a time of doom for the nations. Egypt's wealth was carried away and her foundations torn down. Her allies like Cush, Put, Lydia, Arabia and Libya fell in battle, their proud strength failed and were frightened out of complacency. God dried up the streams of the Nile, sold the land to evil men, laid waste the land and destroyed the idols. The cities went into captivity and God broke Pharaoh's strength. He scattered Egypt among the nations after strengthening the king of Babylon (Ezek. 30:1-26). Prepare for Christ's coming again when He breaks pride and complacency.

Humble Yourself Before God
Ezekiel asked Pharaoh king of Egypt if Assyria could be compared with him in majesty like a cedar in Lebanon. Great nations lived in the shade of its beautiful branches. No tree in the garden of God matched its beauty. The most ruthless nation defeated Egypt because of their pride. God cast his net over Egypt who was like a lion among the nations. He filled the ravines with their flesh and brought darkness over the land. God troubled the hearts of many people when Babylon shattered Egypt's pride. He slew Assyria, Elam, Meshech, Tubal and Sidon with armies lying around graves (Ezek. 31:1-32:32). Humble yourself before God when he breaks your pride.

Warn People to Turn Away from Sin
Ezekiel told Israel to choose a watchman to warn the people when the sword came against the land. Blood was on the people if they refused the warning, but were saved by listening. If the watchman saw the sword coming and did not blow the trumpet as a warning causing someone to be killed because of sin, God held the watchman accountable for his blood. He made Ezekiel a watchman for Israel to hear God's word and give warning for Him. If he warned the wicked man to turn from his ways and refused, he would die but Ezekiel saved himself. Israel's sins weighed and wasted them away. God took no pleasure in the death of the wicked but wanted them to turn from their ways and live. The righteous man could not trust in his righteousness for salvation if he disobeyed. If a wicked man turned from his wickedness by giving back what he took in pledge for a loan, returned what stole and followed commands that gave life, he lived.  None of his sins were remembered against him. Do not say that God's way was unjust (Ezek. 33:1-20). Warn people so they turn away from sin and live without trusting in their righteousness.

Practice God's Word
God told Ezekiel that because the people of Jerusalem ate meat with blood in it and looked to their idols, should they possess the land like Abraham? They relied on their sword, did evil things and defiled their neighbor's wife. God made them die of a plague and the land became a desolate waste ending their proud strength. People did not practice God's word through Ezekiel. Their mouth expressed devotion but their hearts were greedy for unjust gain. When this came true, they would know a prophet was among them (Ezek. 33:21-33). Practice God's word without lip service and seeking unjust gain.

Minister with Compassion to the Needy
Ezekiel prophesied against Israel's shepherds who took care of themselves instead of the flock. They ate the curds, clothed themselves with wool and slaughtered choice animals, but did not care for the flock. They failed to strengthen the weak, heal the sick, bind up the injured, bring back the strays or search for the lost. The shepherd's harsh and brutal rule scattered the sheep over the whole earth without a true shepherd to search or look for them. The sheep became food for all the wild animals. God spoke against the shepherds, held them accountable and removed them from tending the flock so shepherds would no longer feed themselves. God Himself searched for His sheep, looked after them and rescued them from all places where they were scattered. He brought them into their own land to be fed in a rich pasture. God searched for the lost, brought back the strays, bound up the injured and strengthened the weak, but destroyed the sleek and strong. He shepherded the flock with justice (Ezek. 34:1-16). Strengthen the weak, heal the sick, bind up the injured, bring back the strays and search for the lost so God's sheep can feed in a rich pasture.

Provide Accurate and Spirit-Inspired Bible Teaching
God judged between one sheep and another and between rams and goats. Ezekiel said to not trample the good pasture and muddy the clear water with their feet. God's flock must not eat trampled pasture or drink muddied water. He judged between the fat and lean sheep. False shepherds drove the weak sheep away, but God saved His flock from plunder. He judged between one sheep and another. God placed one shepherd, His servant David, to tend them (Ezek. 34:17-24).
Provide accurate and Spirit-inspired Bible teaching so believers can grow spiritually.

Rescue People from Slavery to Sin and False Teaching
God made a covenant of peace with His sheep and rid the land of wild beasts. He sent showers of blessing so trees and ground yielded fruit and crops. The people felt secure. He broke the bars of their yoke and rescued them from slavery. Nations no longer plundered or wild animals devoured them. They lived in safety without fear. He provided a land renowned for crops so they would no longer be victims of famine or bore the scorn of nations. They would know that God was with them and Israel was His people as the sheep of His pasture (Ezek. 34:25-31). Rescue people from slavery to sin and false teaching to bear spiritual fruit and live in safety.

To break pride, self-righteousness, seeking unjust gain, selfishness, false teaching and slavery to sin so you can serve others by seeking their spiritual welfare, do the following:
1. Prepare for Christ's coming again
2. Humble yourself before God
3. Warn people to turn away from sin
4. Practice God's word
5. Minister with compassion to the needy
6. Provide accurate and Spirit-inspired Bible teaching
7. Rescue people from slavery to sin and false teaching

Understanding God's Power Impacts Everything (Insights in Psalms)

10/25/2012

Picture
"When God comes down, He removes the immovable difficulties. When God comes down, the impossible becomes reality. God moves on behalf of the one who waits." Understanding God's power affects how you view and respond to need in peoples' lives. It affects your character and ability to see God answer prayer.

Eliphaz asked if a man could benefit God by being righteous. Job's sins were great as he was accused of withholding food from the hungry, sending widows away empty-handed and breaking the strength of the fatherless. This caused snares, sudden peril and water to cover Job. He fooled himself by thinking God could not see. Evil men asked God to leave them alone even though He filled their houses with good things (Job 22:1-18). Help the defenseless in their need will prove you know God.

Submit to God and be at peace with Him so prosperity can come. Lay up His words in your heart so the Almighty becomes your gold. In this way, you will be restored, find delight in God and He will hear your prayers. What you decide will be done so light can shine on your ways. God saved the downcast when men said, "Lift them up." You would be delivered by purity (Job 22:19-30). Submit to God by laying up His words in your heart to find favor and answered prayer.

Job's complained bitterly since he did not know where to find God. He stated his case to find how God would answer. Hopefully Job would be delivered from his judge. He caught no glimpse of God wherever he went. When He tested Job, he came forth as gold. He followed God's steps and did not depart from His commands. He treasured His words more than daily bread. God does what He pleases, which terrified Job (Job 23:1-17). Treasure God's word and follow in His steps for proven character.

God did not set times to judge men for evil deeds toward others. The poor gleaned in the vineyards of the wicked with nothing to cover themselves. The groans of the dying rose from the city and wounded souls cried for help. God charged no one with wrongdoing. People rebelled against the light through murder, stealing, adultery and robbery that cursed the land. God dragged the mighty so they had no assurance of life. Their exaltation was temporary and then cut off like heads of grain (Job 24:1-25). Refuse to rebel against God so you can hear the groans of the spiritual dying and the cry for help from wounded souls.

Bildad said dominion and awe belonged to God with no one righteous before Him. Job replied sarcastically how he helped the powerless and offered advice to one without wisdom. God suspended the earth over nothing and clouds do not burst under the weight of water. His power churned up the sea, His hand pierced the gliding serpent. No one  understood His power (Job 25:1-26:14).  Stand in awe of God's power who suspends the earth over nothing.

Job maintained his integrity with a clear conscience. God did not listen to the cry of the godless. Job taught people the power of God and His ways instead of meaningless talk. The wicked offspring never had enough to eat with the plague killing those coming later. He laid up riches for the righteous. Terrors overtook him like a flood (Job 27:1-23). Teach people the power of God while maintaining your integrity.

Ask yourself the following questions:
1. Do you help the defenseless in their need?
2. Do you lay up God's words in your heart to find favor and answered prayer?
3. Do you treasure God's word and follow in His steps for proven character?
4. Do you refuse to rebel against God so you hear the groans of the spiritual dying and the cry for help from wounded souls?
5. Do you stand in awe of God's power?
6. Do you teach people the power of God while maintaining your integrity?

Characteristics of a Godly Wife (Insights in Psalms)

8/29/2012

Picture
Too many women have too much leisure time for their own good. They have time for criticism, gossip, faultfinding, and complaining. They have time for idle games and lay too much attention to things of the flesh. There are other women who have too little time for the enduring things of life. They are too busy flitting about doing this and that. They have great activity and much doing, but they lack time for building Christian characters. Both kinds of women -- the too-idle and the too-busy need to take time for meditation and quiet repose in prayer to God. They need time to cultivate their souls that in turn they may cultivate their children's lives" (Billy Graham).
Proverbs 31 explains the characteristics of a godly wife in the home and community.

My son, do not spend your strength and vigor on women who ruin kings. If rulers drink wine and crave beer, they forget what the law says and deprive the oppressed of their rights. Speak up for those who are destitute, judge fairly and defend the rights of the poor and needy (Prov. 31:1-9). God-fearing leaders speak up and defend the rights of the poor and needy.

A wife of noble character is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her, lacking nothing of value. She brings him good everyday. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like merchant ships bringing her food from a distance. She gets up early and provides food for her family and servants (Prov. 31:10-15). Wives' good character save money on food and clothing as they prepare meals for their families.

She considers a field and buys it. She plants a vineyard out of her earnings. She works diligently on her tasks. She works late making sure her trading is profitable. She is generous and helps the needy. She clothes her household in scarlet so they are prepared in every season. She makes coverings for her bed and is clothed in fine linen and purple (Prov. 31:16-22). Wives' business sense and poise supply extra income for their families while helping the needy.

Her husband is respected in a city leadership position. She makes and sells linen garments while supplying sashes for merchants. She clothes herself with strength and dignity and can laugh about the future. She speaks with wisdom and provides faithful instruction. She watches and is never idle over the affairs of her household. Her children and husband praise and call her blessed (Prov. 31:23-28). Wives' creativity, strength, dignity, wisdom, instruction and diligence enhance their husbands' capabilities.

She surpasses all other women who do noble things. Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised. Give her the reward she has earned and let her works bring praise among city leadership (Prov. 31:29-31). Wives who fear God and do not rely on charm and beauty will be praised by others.

As a wife or someone who will be married in the future, evaluate yourself on the following checklist:
1. Save money on food and clothing as you prepare meals for your family
2. Business sense and poise supply extra income for your family while helping the needy
3. Creativity, strength, dignity, wisdom, instruction and diligence enhance your husband's capabilities
4. Fear God and do not rely on charm and beauty to be praised by others

Stepping Out of Mediocrity (Insights in NT)

1/6/2011

Picture
No one wants to live a mediocre Christian life. As hard as I try, forces pull me back to the status quo where I'm not different than anyone else. It's like rowing against a strong current. Every force is fighting against my best efforts to live the normal Christian life in the way God designed. Mark 10 provides a blueprint to step out of mediocrity and into the adventurous life that pleases Him.

Pharisees questioned Jesus whether it was lawful for a man to divorce a wife. He replied that Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce because of hardness of heart. Marriage was designed for humankind to leave father and mother so the two become one flesh. In response to the disciples' questions, Jesus answered that whoever divorces one's spouse and marries another commits adultery (Mark 10:1-12).

The disciples rebuked the people who brought children to Jesus so He might touch them. He said that those who do not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it  (Mark 10:13-16).

The rich young ruler asked the Good Teacher what he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus asked why he called Him good since no one is good except God alone. He reminded the rich young ruler about the ten commandments, which  he confirmed keeping since his youth. When Jesus said for him to sell everything, give to the poor to obtain treasure in heaven and follow Him, he went away grieved since he owned much property (Mark 10:17-22).

Jesus repeated himself twice for added emphasis, saying how hard for wealthy people to enter the kingdom of God. He continued saying "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." These sayings astonished the disciples causing them to ask, "Then who can be saved?" Jesus responded that all things are possible with God. When Peter said the disciples left everything to follow Him, He replied that no one leaves house, family or business for His sake and for the gospel's sake without receiving a 100-fold increase now along with persecutions and eternal life in the age to come. The first will be last and the last, first (Mark 10:23-31).

Jesus explained His future to the 12 disciples that the chief priests and scribes would condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles where He would be mocked, spit upon, scourged, killed and rise again three days later (Mark 10:32-34)

James and John didn't get it. They asked to sit at His right and left hand in glory. Jesus rebuked them since they were totally ignorant about the persecutions and sufferings necessary to prepare them. In addition, it wasn't His choice to give them that privilege but only "for those for whom it has been prepared." To emphasize his point even more, Jesus said rulers of the Gentiles lord and exercise authority over their subjects, but true greatness is shown by servanthood and being a slave of all. The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and give His life a ransom for many (Mark 10:35-45).

An example of Jesus' servanthood is how He related to the blind beggar, Bartimaeus, after he kept calling out, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Jesus stopped and said, "Call him here." After he came to Jesus, He asked Bartimaeus, "What do you want Me to do for you?" The blind man said, "My Master, I want to regain my sight?" Jesus said, "Go your way; your faith has saved (made well) you." Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him (Mark 10:46-52).

Let’s look at these seven paragraphs in a chiastic structure as follows from the first through the seventh paragraph: A; B; C; D; C’; B’; A’. We group together the content contained in A & A’; B & B’, etc. Here are my conclusions:

1. Rather than self-sufficiency and hardened heart, God desires neediness and humble heart (A & A’)
  2. Rather than seeking honor and authority, God desires childlike faith and servanthood (B & B’)
  3. Rather than trusting in possessions and good works, God desires generosity to the poor and willingness to suffer persecution (C & C’).
  4. The three points above explain how to attain the main theme of Mark 10: Prioritize loving Christ and the spread of the Gospel more than family and material wealth since He promises a 100-fold return in this life along with persecution plus eternal life beginning now (D).

Ask God for these personal prayer requests:
1. Nurture neediness, humble heart, childlike faith, servanthood, generosity to the poor and willingness to suffer persecution.
2. Prioritize loving Christ and the spread of the Gospel more than family and material wealth remembering His promise of 100-fold return and persecutions plus eternal life.
