Assurance of Victory for Those Who Share Gospel of Kingdom (Insights in NT)

Here is the process of victory for those who share the gospel of the  kingdom in the world:
1. Recognize how Satan destroys unbelievers
2. Know that people refuse repentance even after a third of mankind killed
3. Meditate on God's word
4. Recognize God's control to protect and empower to witnesses to perform miracles and share testimonies
5. Worship God knowing earthly kingdoms will become His kingdom to reign forever

Recognize How Satan Destroys Unbelievers

The fifth angel sounded his trumpet and John saw a star fallen from the sky given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. After opening it, smoke came out like from a gigantic furnace, which darkened the sun and sky. Locusts came down and stung like scorpions for five months those without the seal of God on their foreheads. People sought death because of the agony. The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle with faces like human ones, teeth like lions and breastplates like iron whose king was the Destroyer angel (Rev. 9:1-11). Recognize how Satan destroys those without God's seal.

Know That People Still Refuse Repentance Even After Killing a Third of Mankind
Two other woes were yet to pass. The sixth angel blew his trumpet and a voice came from the horns of the golden altar before God to release the four angels and two hundred million troops. The horses' heads resembled lions' heads and out of their mouths came fire, smoke and sulfur to kill a third of mankind. The rest of mankind not killed by the plagues did not repent of the work of their hands, murders, magic arts, sexual immorality or thefts. They continued worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood that could not see, hear or walk (Rev. 9:12-21). Know that people still refuse repentance even after God allows demonic power kill a third of mankind.

Meditate on God's Word and Share Gospel of Kingdom
A mighty angel came down from heaven robed in a cloud with a rainbow above his head, face like the sun and legs like fiery pillars. He held a small scroll planting his right foot on the sea and left one on the land. John heard the voices of seven thunders, but a voice from heaven said to seal up what was said and do not write it down. The angel said the mystery of God would be accomplished as He announced to the His prophets after the seventh angel sounded his trumpet. The angel told John to eat the scroll as it would turn his stomach sour, but be sweet as honey in his mouth. He was told to prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings (Rev. 10:1-11). Meditate on God's word and share gospel of kingdom to the world.

Recognize God's Control to Protect and Empower Witnesses to Perform Miracles and Share Testimonies
John measured God's temple and the altar. He  counted the worshipers there, but not the outer court given to Gentiles. They trampled the holy city 42 months. He empowered His two witnesses to prophesy for 1,260 days in sackcloth. Two olive trees and two lampstands stood before the Lord. He protected them from harm, gave the witnesses power to stop rain while prophesying, turned the waters into blood and struck the earth with every kind of plague anytime they wanted. When they finished their testimony, the beast came up from the Abyss and killed them. Their bodies laid in Jerusalem  where their Lord was crucified. The earth celebrated by sending gifts because the two prophets tormented those on earth. Three and a half days after their death, God brought them to life and raised them to heaven in a cloud while their enemies watched. An earthquake killed 7,000 people and collapsed a tenth of the city, but the survivors gave glory to God (Rev. 11:1-14). Recognize God's control to protect and empower His witnesses to perform miracles and share testimonies.

Worship God Knowing Earthly Kingdoms Will Become His Kingdom to Reign Forever
The seventh angel sounded his trumpet and a loud heavenly voice said the kingdom of the world became the kingdom of their Lord and His Christ to reign forever. The 24 elders seated on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God giving thanks to the Lord God Almighty who is and who was because they took His great power and began to reign. The nations were angry as His wrath came to judge the dead, rewarded His servants the prophets and those who reverenced His name and destroyed those who destroyed the earth. God's temple in heaven was opened to see the ark of His covenant (Rev. 11:15-19). Worship God knowing earthly kingdoms will become His kingdom to reign forever.

Be assured of victory in sharing the gospel of the  kingdom in the world when you recognize how Satan destroys unbelievers and they refuse repentance even after a third of mankind are killed. Meditate on God's word and recognize His control to protect and empower to witnesses to perform miracles and share testimonies. Worship God knowing earthly kingdoms will become His kingdom to reign forever.

How to Become a Peacemaker (Insights in Law)

11/4/2012

"Empower me to be a bold participant, rather than a timid saint in waiting; to exercise authority of honesty, rather than to defer to power or deceive to get it; to influence someone for justice, rather than impress anyone for gain; and by grace, to find treasures of joy, of friendship, of peace hidden in the fields you give me daily to plow" (Ted Loder).

In Deut. 19-22, you discover how men and women walk closely with God so they can be a peacemaker in settling disputes and controversies between people. They protect the innocent, discipline evildoers, discover truth through the testimony of two or three witnesses, penalize false witnesses, pursue simplicity in their relationship with Christ, communicate grace and truth, value others and choose sexual purity.

Matt. 5:9 says, "Blesses are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." It is one of the Beatitudes in the Sermon On The Mount.

Protect Innocent
When the Lord destroyed nations, drove them out and settled in the land He gave, they set aside three cities centrally located. Anyone who killed a man unintentionally went there for protection from revenge so innocent blood would not be shed to prevent bloodguiltiness. If a man hated and killed his neighbor, the elders would hand him over to the avengers of blood to die. They purged the guilt of shedding innocent blood so it would go well with them (Deut. 19:1-13). Protect innocent parties and discipline evildoers to purge the guilt of shedding innocent blood.

Discover Truth
Do not move a neighbor’s boundary stone that ancestors set. A single witness was not enough to convict a man accused of any crime. The matter was established by two or three witnesses. They penalized a false witness by doing what the judge intended to do to his brother. This would purge evil so other people would hear and be afraid. They showed no pity but life for a life, eye for a eye, tooth for a tooth (Deut. 19:14-21). Discover truth through testimony of two or three witnesses and penalize false witnesses to deter future crimes.

Pursue Simplicity

God commanded Israel to not fear when they fought  enemies and saw horses, chariots and an army greater than them. The Lord was with them when He brought them out Egypt to fight against their enemies and give them victory. If a man built a new house, planted a vineyard without enjoying it, pledged to marry a woman, they should go home to prevent dying in battle. If any men was afraid or fainthearted, they were sent home so their brothers would not be disheartened. If people accepted terms of peace after being attacked, they subjected everyone to forced labor. If they refused to make peace, they killed the men and took the women, children and livestock as plunder. They destroyed idolatrous people to stop teaching in worshiping their gods causing sin. When they laid siege to a city for a long time, they saved the trees for food. Non-fruit trees were cut down to build siege works until it fell (Deut. 20:1-20).  Reject fear, avoid distractions, destroy idolatry and use assets when praying against evil forces that have greater resources.

Communicate Grace and Truth

When the killer was unknown, the elders in the nearest town broke an unworked heifer's neck and washed their hands over the animal saying they had not shed blood or saw it done. They forgave Israel whom God redeemed without holding His people guilty of the innocent man's blood to purge the guilt of shedding innocent blood. A woman from the spoils of victory could be taken as a wife after she mourned her father and mother for a month. If a husband was displeased with her, she could leave and not be  treated as a slave. An unloved wife's firstborn son received a double share. All the men of a city stoned a rebellious son to death to remove evil so Israel would hear and be afraid. Anyone who hung on a tree for capital offense was under God’s curse. His body was buried the same day to not desecrate the land God gave as an inheritance (Deut. 21:10-23). Communicate grace and truth to remove evil and guilt so God's people fear and obey Him.

Value Others
A brother’s animal was taken back to its owner if it strayed. Women and men did not wear the opposite gender’s clothes since it was an abomination to God. A mother was not taken from a bird’s nest but the young could be taken so it would go well for them in prolonging their days. They made a parapet for the roof of a house to stop the guilt of bloodshed if someone fell from it. They did not plant two kinds of seed in a vineyard since it would defile its fruit. They did not  plow with an ox and donkey yoked together and wear clothes of wool and linen woven together (Deut. 22:1-12). Value others by protecting their property, maintaining gender distinctions, initiating safety and promoting productivity.

Choose Sexual Purity

The elders fined a husband 100 shekels of silver and gave it to the wife’s father for falsely accusing his wife of not being a virgin. If the charge was true and the girl was not a virgin, then men of the city stoned her to death since she was promiscuous in order to purge evil from among them. If a man slept with a married woman, then both died to purge evil from Israel. If an engaged woman did not cry out when a man slept with her, then both were stoned to death to purge evil from among  them. A man died if he raped a girl pledged to be married. He paid the girl's father 50 shekels if he raped a virgin not pledged to be married (Deut. 22:13-30). Choose sexual purity in relationships and punish false charges that harm reputations to purge evil from your midst.

Ask God to develop the following characteristics in your life to equip you in becoming a peacemaker:
1. Protect innocent parties and discipline evildoers to purge the guilt of shedding innocent blood
2. Discover truth through testimony of two or three witnesses and penalize false witnesses to deter future crimes

3. Reject fear, avoid distractions, destroy idolatry and use assets when praying against evil forces that have greater resources
4. Communicate grace and truth to remove evil and guilt so God's people fear and obey Him
5. Value others by protecting their property, maintaining gender distinctions, initiating safety and promoting productivity
6. Choose sexual purity in relationships and punish false charges that harm reputations to purge evil from your midst

Speak God's Word Openly As Christ's Disciple (Insights in NT)

1/22/2012

Picture
Many forces conspire to prevent you from speaking God's word openly as Christ's disciple. Learning evangelism presentations and applying church growth methods are not sufficient. When close friends betray you, you may lose confidence in the gospel. When persecution makes life harder and more complicated, it becomes tempting to pursue the American dream of prosperity and comfort. Rather than being a disciple of Jesus, you allow the world to mold your thinking and actions. You become preoccupied with human strategies to meet your needs instead of taking up the cross and seeking God's kingdom. Jesus provides the example on how to speak the word openly as His disciple after Judas betrayed Him.

Judas came with soldiers and the Pharisees to betray Jesus. Twice Jesus asked, "Whom do you seek?" Jesus spoke that He would not lose anyone God gave Him in fulfillment of His word. After Peter cut off the right ear of the high priest's slave, Jesus said he would drink the cup the Father gave Him (John 18:1-11). Persevere in midst of betrayal while fulfilling God's destiny.

After the Romans soldiers and Jews arrested Jesus, they led him to Annas, the father-in-law of the high priest, Caiaphas. He had advised the Jews it was expedient for one man to die for the people (John 18:12-14). Endure persecution while
fulfilling God's destiny.

Peter and another disciple followed Jesus into the court of the high priest. Peter told a slave-girl that he was not one of Jesus' disciples. He warmed himself next to a charcoal fire with slaves and officers (John 18:15-18). Resist temptation toward comfort while fulfilling God's destiny.

Jesus answered the high priest saying He spoke openly to the world by teaching in the synagogues and temple where all the Jews came together. Jesus said they should question those who heard Him speak to know what He said. Annas sent Him to Caiaphas the high priest (John 18:19-24). Speak God's word openly to the world while fulfilling God's destiny.

Twice Peter denied that He was one of the disciples and immediately a cock crowed (John 18:25-27). Embrace your role as Jesus' disciple while fulfilling God's destiny.

The Jews told Pilate that they could not put anyone to death in answering what accusation they were bringing against Christ. This fulfilled Jesus' word signifying what kind of death he would suffer (John 18:28-32). Take up your cross while fulfilling God's destiny.

Pilate asked Jesus in the governor's residence, "Are You the King of the Jews?" Jesus said that because His kingdom was not of this world, His servants would not fight to prevent Him from being delivered up to the Jews. When Pilate asked if Jesus was a king, He answered that He was born to be a king and bore witness to the truth so those of the truth would hear His voice. After Pilate asked, "What is truth?", he told the Jews that he found no guilt in Him. The Jews told Pilate to release Barabbas, a robber, instead of Jesus at the Passover (John 18:33-40). Seek God's kingdom by bearing witness to the truth while fulfilling God's destiny.

To speak God's word openly as His disciple and fulfill your destiny, do the following:
1. Persevere in midst of betrayal
2. Endure persecution
3. Resist temptation toward comfort
4. Embrace your role as Christ's disciple
5. Take up your cross
6. Seek God's kingdom by bearing witness to the truth

Fruit of Abiding in Christ and His Word (Insights in NT)

1/5/2012

Many people think Bible reading and prayer is boring. They think it's a waste of time. They question the value of abiding in His word and asking God for things. John 15-16 lists the following fruits in studying God's word and prayer: spiritual character, multiply disciples, bear witness, persecution or martyrdom, know truth, see Christ, joy, and peace.

Spiritual Character

Jesus is the vine and the Father is the vinedresser. He removes branches that don't bear fruit and prunes those that do, so they will bear more fruit. You can't do anything or bear fruit unless you abide in Christ. Branches not abiding in Christ are burned in the fire. Answered prayer comes as you abide in Him and His words abide in you. Bearing much fruit glorifies God and proves you are His disciple. Abiding in His love enables you to keep His commandments with full joy (John 15:1-11). You bear fruit of character by prayer with Christ and His words abiding in you.

Multiply Disciples
Laying down your life for friends demonstrate real love. Christ chose you to bear fruit in answer to prayer. Christ commands you to love one another (John 15:12-17). You multiply disciples by loving others sacrificially.

Bear Witness
The world hates and persecutes you because it hated Christ first. If they kept His word, they will keep yours also. People have no excuse for their sin because Christ spoke and did works like no one else. He who hates God hates Christ. The Spirit of truth or Helper comes from the Father to bear witness of Christ. You bear witness by abiding in the Holy Spirit (John 15:18-27). You bear witness of Christ by abiding in the Holy Spirit.

Persecution or Martyrdom
Christ spoke these things to keep you from stumbling. In the future, people think they serve God by killing His disciples. It shows they don't know God or Christ. Remember these warnings so it doesn't surprise you (John 16:1-4). You can expect persecution or martyrdom as Christ's disciple.

Know Truth
The Holy Spirit as Helper convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. Concerning sin because they don't believe in Christ; concerning righteousness because He went to the Father and you don't behold Him; and concerning judgment because the ruler of this world was judged. The Spirit of truth guides you into all truth for He does not speak on His own initiative but speaks what He hears and discloses the future. The Spirit takes God's word and discloses it to you (John 16:5-15). You know truth and convict the world of sin by trusting the Holy Spirit.

See Christ
Jesus predicted they would not see Him and then later see Him because He went to the Father. Jesus said the world would rejoice while their sorrow would turn into joy like a mother in childbirth. He promised to see them again so their heart would rejoice (John 16:16-22). You see Christ by trusting in His death and resurrection.

Joy
The Father will give you whatever you ask in Christ's name. Until now you have asked nothing in His name. Joy would be made full as you ask and receive answers to prayer (John 16:23-24). You experience full joy through prayer.

Peace
Christ told His disciples plainly and not figuratively that He would leave the world and go to the Father. They believed that He came from God. Jesus questioned their belief because they scattered to their homes and left Him alone. He promised them peace in Christ because He overcame the world and its tribulations (John 16:25-33). You experience peace from the world's tribulations in Christ.

Allow the following fruits of spiritual character, multiply disciples, bear witness, persecution or martyrdom, know truth, see Christ, joy, and peace motivate you to abide in Christ and His word along with prayer.

Spiritual Approach to Evangelism (Insights in NT)

12/16/2011

Picture
There are many mechanical or rote presentations of the gospel that a person can learn like the Four Spiritual Laws, Explosion Explosion and the Bridge. God's word won't return void when it is preached. But is there a higher spiritual level for greater effectiveness for evangelism and ministry to others? I believe so!

Martha served, Lazarus reclined with Jesus and Mary anointed the feet of Jesus, filling the house with the fragrance of costly perfume. Jesus told Judas that the poor would always be around unlike Him when questioned why the perfume wasn't sold to give to the poor (John 12:1-8). Worship and prayer to God has priority over service.

The multitude came to see Lazarus and Jesus whom He raised from the dead. The chief priests wanted to put Lazarus to death because many Jews believed in Him (John 12:9-11). Believe that God can perform miracles.

The multitude took palm branches and cried out, "Blessed in He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel," while Jesus rode on a donkey. The multitude were bearing Him witness because He raised Lazarus from the dead. The Pharisees said "the world has gone after Him" (John 12:12-19). Bear witness of Christ after seeing Him do miracles.

Jesus said the hour came for the Son of Man to be glorified. If a grain wheat dies without remaining alone, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life loses it, but he who hates this life in this world will keep it to life eternal. Those who serve Christ will follow Him where He is and be honored by the Father (John 12:20-26). Bear fruit by losing your life for Christ's sake.

The multitude heard a voice out of heaven to show judgment was upon this world and its ruler would be cast out. Jesus draws all men to Himself when He is lifted up from the earth. Those who believe in the light as sons of light won't be overtaken by darkness. Jesus quoted Isaiah explaining why they could not believe: He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts lest they see, perceive, be converted and Jesus heal them. Many rulers believed but did not confess Him as they loved the approval of men rather than God (John 12:27-43). Confess Jesus openly before men shows you love God's approval.

Believing in Jesus is the same as believing in God. He who believes in Him will not remain in darkness. He came to save the world, not judge it. If you reject God's word, you will be judged in the last day. Jesus spoke what God told Him to say, which is eternal life (John 12:44-50). Speak life-giving words by saying only what God tells you.

To develop a spiritual approach to evangelism and personal ministry, do the following:
1. Develop a worship and prayer life
2. Believe that God performs miracles
3. Bear witness of Christ when you see miracles
4. Bear fruit by losing your life for Christ's sake
5. Confess Jesus openly before men shows you love God's approval
6. Speak life-giving words by saying only what God tells you

Mentoring Younger Adults Enhances God's Testimony (Insights in Law)

11/1/2011

George Barna, who has directed this tracking research since the early 1990s, pointed out, “There are a several troubling patterns to take notice. First, although most Americans consider themselves to be Christian and say they know the content of the Bible, less than one out of ten Americans demonstrate such knowledge through their actions. Second, the generational pattern suggests that parents are not focused on guiding their children to have a biblical worldview. One of the challenges for parents, though, is that you cannot give what you do not have, and most parents do not possess such a perspective on life. That raises a third challenge, which relates to the job that Christian churches, schools and parachurch ministries are doing in Christian education. Finally, even though a central element of being a Christian is to embrace basic biblical principles and incorporate them into one’s worldview, there has been no change in the percentage of adults or even born again adults in the past 13 years regarding the possession of a biblical worldview.”

Moses mentored and discipled a younger man, Joshua. Moses also served with Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and the 70 elders. Similarly, emphasizing the mentoring and discipling of younger adults along with team ministry will go a long way in enhancing God's testimony in a dark world. Mentors do the following with young people:

Teach the Bible and Pray the Blood of Christ
God told Moses to have Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and 70 elders worship Him at a distance with Moses alone coming near to the Lord. When Moses recounted all the Lord’s words and ordinances, the people answered they would do all of them. He wrote down all Lord's words and built an altar with 12 pillars for the 12 tribes. The young men offered burnt offerings and sacrificed young bulls as peace offerings to the Lord. After Moses read the book of covenant to the people, they said “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!” Moses sprinkled the blood on the people as a covenant the Lord made (Ex. 24:1-8). Teach young people the Bible and pray the blood of Christ so they can understand and do God's word.

Mentors Prioritize God's Glory

The leaders saw the God of Israel and under His feet appeared pavement of sapphire as clear as sky. He was not angry at the nobles. They beheld God and ate and drank (Ex. 24:9-11). Leaders prioritize the experience of God’s glory.

Spend Time with God

The Lord told Moses that He would give him stone tablets for their instruction on the mountain. Moses came with Joshua his servant while Aaron and Hur were available for any legal matter. God called Moses from the midst of the cloud on the seventh day as glory dwelt on the mountain top like a consuming fire and was there 40 days and 40 nights (Ex. 24:12-18). Mentors who spend time with God help young people make God’s word foundational for their lives.

Generous of Their Time, Talent and Treasure

The Lord told Moses to raise a contribution of gold, silver, bronze, blue, purple and scarlet material, fine linen, goat hair, rams’ skins dyed red, oil for lighting, spices for anointing oil and for fragrant incense, onyx stones for ephod and breastpiece from every man whose heart moved him. Let them construct a tabernacle for God to dwell among them according to His pattern (Ex. 25:1-9). Those who are generous of their time, talent and treasure enhance God’s testimony in the world.

Equip Disciples to Represent Christ Beautifully to the World
They shall construct an ark of acacia wood 2 ½ cubits long, 1 ½ cubits wide and 1 ½ cubits high overlaid with pure gold inside and out. Make poles of acacia wood overlaid with gold. Put the testimony
that God gives you into the ark. Make mercy seat and two cherubim of gold facing the mercy seat. God will speak of all His commandments above the mercy seat and between the two cherubim that are upon the ark of testimony (Ex. 25:10-22). Disciples' lives represent a beautiful testimony of Christ to the world.

Release Disciples to Pray and Share God's Word in the Marketplace

Make the table and poles from acacia wood overlaid with gold. The rings are to be close to the rim as holders for the poles to carry the table. Make dishes, pans, jars and bowls to pour libations of pure gold. Set the bread of the Presence on the table before Him at all times (Ex. 25:23-30). Disciples pray and share God’s word in the marketplace.

Invest in Mentoring Ministry to Allow the Church to Become Light in a Dark World

Make lampstand of pure gold with six branches from its sides. Make seven lamps to shed light on the space in front of it according to the pattern shown to Moses on the mountain (Ex. 25:31-40). A inter-generational and mentoring ministry allows the church to become light of Christ in a dark world.

The following strategies will allow the church to become the light of Christ in a dark world and enhance God's testimony:
1. Teach young people the Bible and pray the blood of Christ so they can understand and do God's word
2. Prioritize God's glory by spending time with Him and being generous of time, talent and treasure
3. Equip disciples to represent Christ beautifully to the world
4. Release disciples to pray and share God's word in the marketplace
5. Invest in an inter-generational and mentoring ministry to enhance God's testimony in the world

The Only Way to God (Insights in NT)

9/4/2011

Picture
Lee Strobel wrote that there are three great myths about religion:
1. All religions are basically the same
2. Christianity is simply one philosophy among many
3. Christians are narrow-minded to think Jesus is the only way to heaven. Only Jesus provides hope in our sin-stained world. He is the only one who gives life. He is the only one who provides the way to God as the Apostle John explains in John 1.

The Word was with God from the beginning. Everything came into being from Him. In Him was life and the light that shines in darkness, which did not comprehend Him (John 1:1-5). Jesus originates life by creating everything.

God sent John who came to bear witness of the light so all might believe through him (John 1:6-8). John the Baptist bore witness to Him so people could believe in God.

Jesus enlightens everyone even though His people didn't receive Him. Those who did receive Him had authority to become children of God by believing in His name. They were born not of blood, will of flesh or will of man, but of God (John 1:9-13). Believing in Christ gives you the privilege to become God's child.

Jesus in the flesh lived among us so we could see God's glory full of grace and truth. John said Jesus had higher rank and existed before him so others could receive the fullness of God's grace. Moses gave the Law and Jesus grace and truth to explain God (John 1:14-18). Jesus' life on earth explained God's grace and truth.

John told religious leaders that he wasn't Christ, Elijah or the Prophet but "I am a voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way of the Lord,' as Isaiah the prophet." John said he baptized in water but another comes after Him "the thong of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie" (John 1:19-28). John was a forerunner to prepare the way of Christ.

John identified Jesus as the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world. John baptized in water so Christ could be known to Israel. John bore witness saying he beheld the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven to remain on Christ who baptizes in the Holy Spirit as the Son of God (John 1:29-34). Jesus is the Lamb and Son of God who takes away sin and baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus told two of John's disciples to "come, and you will see," after asking where He was staying. Andrew said to his brother, Simon Peter, "We have found the Messiah (Christ)" and brought Peter to Jesus. Jesus said he would be called Cephas (Rock of Stone) (John 1:35-42). God uses people to bring others to Christ.

Jesus found Philip and told him, "Follow Me." Philip found Nathanael and said they found Him who Moses in the Law and Prophets wrote of concerning Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. After Nathanael questioned whether any good thing could come out of Nazareth, Philip said, "Come and see." Jesus told Nathanael he was an Israelite without guile. Jesus said he saw him before Philip called Nathanael. He acknowledged Him as the Son of God and King of Israel. Jesus said his belief in Him would lead to greater things as he would "see the heavens opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man" (John 1:43-51). Jesus calls people to Himself so they will experience every spiritual blessing in Him.

Have you placed your faith completely in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin? If so, are you bringing others to Christ? Are you experiencing every spiritual blessing in Christ as a believer in Him?
