God as Creator displays His majesty by creating the heavens and earth out of nothing (Gen. 1:1). “He created male and female in His image to be "fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it” (Gen. 1:27-28). Unfortunately, man’s rebellion scarred God’s creation, which hid His reign from the earth. “God saw all that He made and it was very good” (Gen. 1:31).
Though humankind cannot create anything new, they can make God’s name known through creative endeavors like politics, business, medicine, athletics, entertainment, etc. How does our work become very good?
Life is not about pursuing status or merely working our way up the corporate ladder. God calls us to enhance His reputation in all realms of human endeavor. At the center of God’s heart is developing godly relationships rather than pursuing earthly accomplishments. God woos people to Himself through the actions and words of those who mimic His character. God created everything for good to be enjoyed by us, His image-bearers.
How do you show God's attributes and qualities through your work?
